Sunnyside Hires Interim City Manager

Sunnyside's City Council unanimously hired John Darrington for interim city manager.

Darrington will begin work Thursday, March 21. The job's been open since Frank Sweet was fired last month. The mayor expects the interim manager to be on the job for about four months before hiring someone permanent.

The temporary hire will be paid $11,000 a month.

Sunnyside is also still looking to fill two vacant council seats.
