Sunnyside All Day Kindergarten School Registration Starts April 19th

Kindergarten registration for the 2012-2013 school year is fast approaching. The Sunnyside School District's all-kindergarten school, Sun Valley Elementary, will begin registering students at a special one-night-only evening registration session on April 19, 2012 from 5:30-7:30pm at Sun Valley Elementary (1220 N. 16th St). Daytime registration will run May 1, 2012 through June 8, 2012 from 9:00am-1:00pm each school day. All kindergarten registrations will be held at Sun Valley Elementary.

To register, students must be five-years-old by August 31, 2012. Parents must bring three items in order to register their child for kindergarten:

1. Child's birth certificate (must be five years of age on or before August 31st of this year).

Required by Washington State law.

2. Immunization record. Washington State law also requires that your child be currently immunized in order to attend school. The school must have proof that your child has completed all required immunizations.

a) Hepatitis --- 3 doses

b) DTaP/Td/Tdap* - 5 doses

c) Polio --- 4 doses

d) MMR --- 2 doses

e) Varicella --- 2 doses

3. Proof of address (utility bill/receipt, rent/mortgage statement)
