It’s officially summer. So where are you going on vacation?  How much vacation do you get and can you afford to take it?

We all could use a break from work now and then, but all vacations are not created equal! People from different countries each get a different number of vacation days and many of them get a lot more time off than us hard working Americans.

GetVoip crunched the numbers and compiled a list of 40 countries that provide the most vacation days. Out of those 40, the U.S. ranked 34th with an average of 26 days of paid leave.

Need more time off?  Perhaps when the Olympics are over, you could just stay in Brazil where they get an average of 41 paid days of leave -11 of which are national holidays. France also had an average of 41 days,10 of which are national holidays.

If you’ll settle for a dozen days more than your used to, check out Malta, Iceland, Austria, and Sweden with each country giving an average of 38 days of paid leave.

The rest of the list includes Norway at 37, Spain and the United Kingdom each give 36, and Luxembourg gives 35, rounding out the top ten.   (Elite Daily)
