Summer Gas Prices Expected To Be Down 32 Percent — Dave’s Diary
What’s your favorite summer driving song? For me it’s “Roll on Down the Highway” by the '70s rock group Bachman-Turner-overdrive. Roll down the windows, turn up the music and roll right on past the pumps for a change! The Energy Department says the national average gas price this summer is forecast to be 32 percent less than a year ago. The average price is expected to be $2.45 a gallon between April and September, which is when Americans are driving most.
That would be the lowest seasonal average since 2009. For the year overall, the Energy Department expects gas to average $2.40 a gallon, down from $3.36 in 2014.
The lower prices are due to global oil supplies growing faster than demand because of higher production in North America and other areas.
So the drop the windows, open the sun roof and your mouth and lets all sing together …
We rented a truck and a semi to go Travel down the long and the winding road Look on the map, I think we've been there before Close up the doors, let's roll once more Cop's on the corner, look he's starting to write Well, I don't need no ticket so I screamed out of sight Drove so fast that my eyes can't see Look in the mirror, is he still following me? Let it roll down the highway ...
And let’s all sing 32 percent louder!
