What is going on? We are in the summer driving season and gas prices are going down? That's the case. The folks at Gasbuddy.com say average retail gasoline prices in Yakima have fallen 0.6 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.59/g yesterday, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 91 gas outlets in Yakima. This compares with the national average that has fallen 1.6 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.20/g, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.  A press release from Gasbuddy.com says the  change in gas prices in Yakima during the past week, prices yesterday were 53.1 cents per gallon lower than the same day one year ago and are 0.9 cents per gallon higher than a month ago. Gasbuddy.com says the national average has decreased 13.8 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 55.7 cents per gallon lower than this day one year ago.

 

According to GasBuddy historical data, gasoline prices on July 18 in Yakima have ranged widely over the last five years:

$3.12/g in 2015, $3.89/g in 2014, $3.86/g in 2013, $3.58/g in 2012 and $3.77/g in 2011.
