A woman and her son suffered serious injuries after a two-car accident caused by street racing. The woman was pulling out of the Burger King parking lot on the 2700 hundred block of West Nob Hill at 11:15 this morning when she was hit by a by a west bound Jeep Cherokee that was racing another car.

The Jaws of Life had to be used to get the woman and her son out of the Toyota Corrolla. They were both taken to a local hospital, their condition is not known at this time. The driver of the jeep was taken into custody and faces a charge of vehicular assault. The second car racing fled the scene, that car has been located and that driver faces charges.
