Storm Brings Heavy Rain, Mountain Snow in Cascade Mountains
SEATTLE (AP) — A winter storm moving across the Pacific Northwest has brought heavy rain and mountain snow to the region. The National Weather Service in Seattle on Monday issued a winter weather advisory for the Central Cascades, including Snoqualmie Pass and Stevens Pass. The service warns drivers to be prepared for snow, slush and ice on roads, poor visibility and possible travel delays. Meteorologist Steve Reedy says that as of Monday morning, the storm has dumped a foot of snow at Stevens Pass over a 24-hour period. Snoqualmie Pass also got about 7 inches of snow during that time. Snow levels are expected to be at about 2,000 feet.
