Tonight  -2/5/19-  president Donald Trump will give his second State of the Union Address and about 72% of likely voters report they plan to watch or read follow up coverage.

The speech has been delayed by the Pelosi showdown and shutdown of certain government agencies over funding for enhanced border security and the wall.
The latest Rasmussen survey of 1,000 Likely Voters looks at the public's opinions on Congress, immigration and working with the President.
While more voters want to see Congress deal with illegal immigration, they’re less confident that President Trump and the new Democratic majority in the House can work together to achieve that goal.
  • The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 35% of all Likely U.S. Voters believe illegal immigration is the issue the new Congress should deal with first.
  • Half as many (17%) want Congress to emphasize health care which is a shift from just after November’s midterm elections, when 29% wanted Congress to address illegal immigration first, while nearly as many (24%) thought it should focus on health care.
  • Another 16% think the focus should be on Trump’s impeachment.
