State of City Talk Today In Yakima

What’s the state of the City of Yakima? Yakima City Council members will give their perspective during a Greater Yakima Chamber of Commerce lunch set for this afternoon at the Red Lion Hotel.

One of the biggest efforts underway in the city is the focus on downtown and the ongoing work on the Downtown Master Plan.

Mayor Micah Cawley says he and other council members will give a positive report during the luncheon set 11:30 a.m. 1:00 p.m. Today at the Red Lion Hotel. Tickets are available at the door.

Cawley says the state of the city is good and improving everyday. Cawley says “we have a healthy reserve, a strong plan for downtown and an improving city budget.” Cawley says he’s excited about Yakima’s future.
