St. Patty’s Party Set For Yakima’s Harman Center
Go past Valentine's day, take a right on President's day, go a couple of weeks and there you'll be, looking right into the face of St. Patrick.
The official St.Patrick's day is March 17th but the FREE Iron Chef and Dance event
at Yakima’s Harman Center will be from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 16th.
Recreation Program Supervisor Leslie Richards says, “It’s a brand new idea for us ....we wanted to have an Iron Chef competition and St. Patrick’s Day provided us an opportunity.”
Iron Chef competitors will be asked to provide samples of an Irish cuisine item and one of the ingredients in their prepared food entries must be Guinness Beer and the chefs have until March 1st to sign up for the competition.
