SPOKANE (AP) — A former volunteer with the Boy Scouts who admitted to creating child pornography videos has been sentenced to 25 years in prison.

The Spokesman-Review reports that Steven Harris, of Spokane, was sentenced Tuesday after pleading guilty to attempted production of child pornography.

A news release from the Eastern Washington U.S. Attorney's Office says investigators found more than 500 videos on Harris' computer and discovered he had traded them online in exchange for other types of child pornography.

He has been ordered to register as a sex offender.
