Special Training At Training Center Today

Emergency responders from throughout the valley will be training at the Yakima Training Center Today.  A special joint excercise is set from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday where police and firefighters from throughout the valley will train. The excercise will test emergency reponse systems, show the departments strengths and weaknesses and find ways for improvement. It's also designed to bring the departments closer together for future cooperation.
A large number of emergency vehicles will be in the area of the center's main gate. The public is being asked to avoid the gate during the excercise.
