Missing Native women in Washington State will be the topic of a meeting Monday at the Yakima Convention Center. The Washington State Patrol is hosting two meetings in the state this month and next a result of Washington House Bill 2951, requiring the Patrol to partner with the Office of Indian Affairs, tribal leaders and other law enforcement to find out more about the missing Native American women.
Monday's meeting is set for 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Yakima Convention Center. The State Patrol will make a report to the Legislature on June 1.
A second meeting will be held in Shelton on Nov. 8 at the Little Creek Casino.
