News has been released online from the Yakima Herald-Republic that the Yakima Starbucks on Nob Hill Boulevard has applied for a liquor license, making it one of the few locations in America to do so.

Pretty soon, after 4 p.m., you might be able to grab perhaps a glass of merlot and a plate of bacon-wrapped something or other, instead of your usual cup of coffee with muffins with some kind of berries in 'em!

I'm not so sure I will be partaking in the Starbucks wine and beer festivities because my BAC might get over the edge with me having a great time, and goodness knows, I do not want to add anymore misdemeanors on my rap sheet! DRINK RESPONSIBLY!

The first Starbucks to introduce this new concept, which I like to call "Starbucks After Dark," was in Seattle at the Olive Way location in 2012. This new brainchild approach to bring in further business to slow evenings then spread to locations in Portland, Atlanta, Chicago, and California. Even Starbucks locations in the normally dry state of Utah got approved to cash in on this Starbucks reboot, and it currently has at least five stores selling booze along with those half-froth, half-soy, decaf mocha lattes! Impressive!
