Smoke Cancels Hot Shots Tournament This Weekend

It's smokey in the Yakima Valley apparently too smokey for a basketball tournament. As a result of all the smoke in the air the Hot Shots 3 on 3 Tourney slated for this weekend in Downtown Yakima has been cancelled for this year.  “While conditions may improve, given the uncertainty of the smoke, for the health of the players, spectators and volunteers we felt it best that we cancel,” says Rich Austin of the Yakima Valley Sports Commission. “We are grateful for the community support of the event and look forward to rescheduling it in 2019.” Registrations will be refunded to the teams in full.
