NEW YORK (AP) — Is the world getting over its love affair with smartphones? Maybe. Gartner Incorporated says worldwide sales of smartphones in the second quarter grew at their slowest pace since 2013. The research firm says part of the reason is that smartphone sales in China declined for the first time. Smartphone sales in China fell 4 percent year-over-year — the first such decline for the world's most populous country and biggest market for smartphones. Gartner says it appears the smartphone market in China has reached saturation — with most purchases being replacements for existing phones, rather than those made by first-time buyers.
