Police say six people suffered minor injuries, including an 8-year-old boy who was taken to a hospital as a precaution, after a 'kiddy train' amusement ride tipped over at a city festival in Puyallup, south of Seattle.

The ride was being pulled on a city street in Puyallup on Saturday afternoon when the last of its six cars — the red caboose — tipped over. Six people were inside — adults and children — and all suffered minor cuts and bruises.

Puyallup police Capt. Scott Engle says the train was turning a circle in an intersection, and the ride's operators did not have permission to pull the train on city streets. He says the train appears to have been overloaded.
