So you can’t sleep huh?  Insomnia?  Bad mattress? What keeps you up at night?  Well, now you can lose sleep worrying about your psychological condition!

New research suggests insomnia is likely just that--a psychological condition.

Johns Hopkins University researchers studied the studies to reach their conclusion.  Here’s what they learned.  Insomnia sufferers who were given a placebo that they believed was an active treatment reported greater improvements in their ability to fall asleep, the total amount of rest they got and their sleep quality.  Sounds great but remember it was a placebo-a fake pill!

According to the report in Sleep Medicine, scientists conclude that insomnia is shaped by expectation and perception.  (Daily Mail)
