The benefits, nay the NEED for a good night’s sleep continues to be studied and here is the latest. Twins are often a good subject base for studies and a new one of those shows that when a person is sleep deprived, their immune system weakens.

WebMD.com says the findings come from studying adult twins, each pair having significantly different sleeping routines. In every case, the twin who was the most sleep deprived also had a weaker immune system.

This study is the first of its kind to show how lack of sleep can affect genetic based immunity – translated -- that means there is good chance that not getting enough sleep may be making you sick.

Sleep experts say a you need to log a minimum of seven hours of sleep each night to be at your healthy best.
