Silver Alert Still in Effect for Joseph Daniel Dotson
On Thursday, Joseph Dotson was last seen at his home in Wiley City, Mr. Dotson is a former logger and likes to go to the hills. A statewide Silver Alert was issued on Friday for Joseph Daniel Dotson.
Sgt. Bill Splawn of the Yakima County Sheriff's Office released this statement:
On 9/16/16, Joseph Daniel Dotson was report missing from the 10000 block of Hughes Road (Wiley City). Deputies were told that Joseph Daniel Dotson left home on 9/15/16 at around 10:00 a.m. Mr. Dotson is 81 years of age and suffers from dementia. Mr. Dotson was last seen wearing bib overalls and a red and black checkered long sleeve shirt. He is six-three and weighs 240 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes. Mr. Dotson left home in his 1999 Ford F250 pickup. The truck has a Washington license number of B15292X, and is brown in color.
The sheriff’s office issued a state-wide Silver Alert for Dotson’s whereabouts on 9/16/16. A Silver Alert is similar to an amber alert.
