Yakima's Cinco de Mayo Cultural Festival is set for this weekend in downtown Yakima. This will be the 17th annual edition of the free, family-friendly celebration that routinely attracts as many as 20,000 visitors or more.

The 2018 Cinco de Mayo Cultural Festival begins with a Color Guard Ceremony at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 5th.  The event will run until 9:00 pm on Saturday the 5th and from 10:00 am until 7:15 pm on Sunday the 6th..

Along the way attendees will enjoy food, fun kids activities, one-of-a-kind handmade crafts, and more.

The celebration also features soccer and street basketball tournaments, a horse show , car show and a Charro Parade on Sunday at 1:00 pm. starting at the corner of 5th Avenue and Yakima Avenue and heading east.

The festival’s main stage, located near the corner of Second Street and Yakima Avenue, will feature a wide variety of activities and performances including dancers, musicians, and various elements of the 2018 Ms. Cinco de Mayo Pageant.  The culmination of the pageant will be the crowning of the 2018 Ms. Cinco de Mayo, which will take place on the main stage at 1:00 pm on Sunday.
