Commuters on Lincoln Avenue will experience some delays Monday as a shoulder project closes one westbound lane.

Flaggers will be in place to direct traffic from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. while the project is completed. Detours will be available on Englewood and Summitview avenues.

This work is in addition to the summer-long grind-and-overlay project. According to an email from Yakima's Communications and Public Affairs Director Randy Beehler, that project is nearly 90 percent complete.

There will be no daytime work Friday, but lane closures will occur periodically throughout the day from Monday to Thursday on Washington Avenue between 15th Street and 1st Street.

There will also be overnight closures at the following roads periodically throughout the week.

  • Nob Hill Boulevard between 40th Avenue and 48th Avenue
  • D Street between First Avenue and First Street
  • Mead Avenue between 11th Avenue and Fair Avenue
  • Washington Avenue between 15th Avenue and First Street
