Shopko Helps Yakima Police With “Day Of Thanks”

A lot of local kids will benefit from a big check given to the Yakima Police Department Wednesday.

Yakima Police Community Services will receive a donation Wednesday, for its upcoming “A Day of Thanks” event.

The Shopko Foundation will present a $500 check to Yakima Police Community Services at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 14 at Shopko, 5801 Summitview Avenue.

Proceeds from the check presentation at Shopko will be designated for the “Day of Thanks” event planned for Wednesday, November 21^st.

“We will be enjoying a day of fun with youth who were nominated by their school administrators,” says Lt. Mike Pollard, Public Information Officer for the Yakima Police Department. “We appreciate the Shopko Foundation’s participation in helping to make the ‘Day of Thanks’ event possible.”
