Shooting Suspect Arrested

An 18 year old suspect has been arrested in connection with Monday’s shooting death of Alejandro Baldavinos.

Yakima Police report that an arrest has been made in the Monday night shooting death of 27 year old Alejandro Baldavinos of Yakima. YPD officers and the Major Crimes Taskforce located and took into custody 18 year old Patrick Andrew Bentley. Bentley was booked into the county jail on charges of 1st degree murder and attempted 1st degree murder.

Baldavinos was shot and killed, and his 18 year old brother, Luis, was wounded as the two men were walking in the vicinty of 5th Avenue and Willow.

Police do say the shooting was gang related.
