Sheriff’s Deputies Trying to Identify Body Found in Toppenish

The Yakima County Sheriff's office is investigating an unidentified body found by a local duck hunter Sunday afternoon in Toppenish.

Deputies say the body was badly decomposed and had been buried in the mud for some time.

The sheriff's office is looking into unsolved missing person's cases and they believe they are close to finding a possible match.

Officials says the body is a male with dark hair, approximately 5-foot-5 in height. An autopsy is set for later this week.
