Few people will ever forget the morning of Sept. 11, 2001, when terrorists attacked America.

Now, there will be a place to see some of the amazing stories of heroes and artifacts that tell the tale of that fateful day.

The National September 11 Memorial Museum opened Thursday with a dedication ceremony attended by many dignitaries from New York City, the federal government and survivors.

Not everyone can travel to New York to see the memorial, so the New York Times has posted an interactive online tour. You can find it on the Times' website.
