Sentencing is set for May 4 for Manuel Verduzco found guilty Friday of two counts of first degree aggravated murder in the March 2016 deaths of Marta Martinez and Karina Morales-Rodriguez. Both Moneytree employees who had just arrived for work at the store in Yakima.
The jury took 7 hours to deliberate his fate. Verduzco faces an automatic sentence of life in prison without parole after the prosecutor opted not to ask the jury to impose the death penalty. Before his sentencing next month the victims families will have a chance to address the court.
