The Yakima Herald Republic says Selah police arrested a man Friday for taking a shot at his girlfriend during an argument and is now lodged in the Yakima County Jail.

The 43-year-old man and his girlfriend argued over property at a residence on South Sixth Street with the man firing two rounds from a 9 mm pistol, but nobody was injured, according to the Yakima Herald.

The Herald reports the man, who has a lengthy criminal history including felony drug cases, fled the area in a vehicle, but was captured minutes later and can now add first-degree domestic assault, brandishing a firearm and being a felon in possession of a firearm to his criminal history.
