Selah City Council is looking to fill a vacancy. Current member Kevin Jorgensen is resigning effective at the end of the year. Mayor John Gawlik says Jorgensen sold his house in Selah and will move to a new home outside city limits. That will disqualify him from holding the position. Applications are being taken now to serve the remaining three years of Jorgensen's term. Selah's City Council will have the final say on the replacement.

Anyone interested in serving on the Selah City Council can pick up an application in person or you'll find an application on the Selah City website. Applications are available now and will be accepted until January 7, 2013. You must be at least 18 and have lived in Selah for at least one year to qualify to serve on the council.
