The WIAA announced Riley Quincy of Selah High School as the recipient of the fifth annual Smart Choices Scholarship on Monday.

He will receive a $5,000 scholarship to the school of his choice. Quincy has elected to enroll at the University of Arizona with hopes to become a physical therapist, athletic trainer or teacher.

Riley Quincy highlighted his high school athletic career by starting on the Selah baseball team which was crowned the 2016 WIAA State Champions, the first baseball title in school history. Quincy also had success at the state level when he helped the basketball team finish runner-up at the 2A Hardwood Classic. The senior has been named to the all-league teams in baseball, basketball and football.

Quincy maintains a 3.97 GPA while challenging himself with AP and honors courses and also serving as the ASB Senior Class President and a member of the National Honor Society. His service has earned him the title of the top charity fundraiser after organizing a community dodgeball tournament which raised more the $2,500.
