Verner Woelk and his wife are happy to be alive today. The couple are residents of Selah, they lost their home and all their belongings in a fire that started Sunday night caused by the storm. A lawn chair is all that remains from the fire that took six hours to contain. The fire started when the wind knocked down a power pole which sparked the dry grass on fire. The fire quickly moved along Tibbling Road and made its way to the Woelk's home. Unfortunately the Woelk's didn't have insurance on the property. With nothing left a relief fund has been set up to help the couple at Selah Banner Bank.
