The Selah City Council once again tabled the issue of a big severance package for the city supervisor and police chief.

City Supervisor, Frank Sweet, submitted the proposal that would protect himself and the police chief if they get fired by the new mayor.

The idea that could cost almost half a million dollars outraged a lot of people in the community.

John Gawlik takes over as mayor at the beginning of the year.
