Seattle Seahawks Unanimous No.1 in NFL Power Rankings

Other teams are up, some are down, but Seattle remains the top team in the NFL this week.

Taking 11 first place votes, the Seahawks claim the No. 1 spot in the Associated Press Pro 32 rankings.

Pat Kirwan at CBSSports.com had this to say about the league's best team.

The Seahawks have the best record, they just shut out the Giants on the road, and their next road game could be the Super Bowl.

Just beating the Giants on the road wouldn't have been much to brag about, but completely shutting them out and doing it in the 1 p.m. ET time slot for a West Coast team is something to pat yourselves on the back about.

Finally, Elliott Harrison at NFL.com gave the Seahawks props for their suffocating defense.

There is no reason to move the lead dog out of the top spot. Not sure anyone has noticed yet, but the Seahawks have now overtaken the Panthers in a pretty important category: fewest points allowed. Seattle is No. 1, at 14.6 points per game.
