Seattle signed their Super Bowl winning coach to a three-year extension Friday

The extension was announced at Seahawks headquarters in Renton during a 10:30 a.m. news conference.

“This is an amazing world that we get to live in, get to work in,” Carroll said, addressing how he has so much energy. “It’s so empowering on a daily basis. Each day we get up, I know we’re going to be able to accomplish something good.”

Carroll, 65, had one year left on his original contract. He lead Seattle to the franchise's first Super Bowl title after a 13-3 regular season record in 2013.
