Seahawks right tackle Breno Giacomini has racked up some costly penalties the last two games. He says:"Those are my penalties, so it's my fault."

Seahawks offensive line guru Tom Cable wants his players to be aggressive, but to play smart. There's no doubt that right tackle Breno Giocomini is an aggressive player, but some mental lapses have cost the Seahawks dearly the last two games in terms of having some big plays called back. Against St.Louis, Giacomini was penalized three times in the game, two were 15-yard personal-foul penalties that were significant setbacks. Against Carolina,  Giacomini’s holding penalty nullified Russell Wilson’s 56-yard completion to Golden Tate in the first quarter.

"I've just got to play smarter," Giacomini said.   I've just got to gauge it a little bit better. Those are my penalties so it's my fault, but I'm not going to stop playing the way that I'm playing just because of the people we have, but I've got to play smarter."

The Seahawks host New England this Sunday, with the broadcast starting at 11 a.m. on AM 1280 and FM 99.3 Newstalk KIT.
