Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson showed his baseball pedigree last week when he threw out the first pitch at Safeco Field before a game with the New York Yankees.

Russell Wilson says that as a kid, he was always playing baseball. He was a closing pitcher in college at North Carolina State and a 4th round draft pick in the Colorado Rockies organization, playing some minor league ball with Tri-Cities in the Northwest League.

This video shows that Wilson can still bring it.

Here's a side note: The crowd that saw Wilson throw out that first pitch last week at Safeco Field is probably the smallest that he's ever performed before in Seattle, because Seahawks home games are routinely sold out.
