The Seattle Mariners opened up their 2014 home season Tuesday night by recognizing their next door neighbors, the Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks.

The Mariners are off to their best start in years, coming off a 4-2 season opening road trip. Tuesday night, the Mariners hosted the L.A. Angels of Anaheim at Safeco Field. During pre-game ceremonies, the M's saluted the Super Bowl XLVIII Champion Seahawks with a video montage and then introduced members of the team.

The Mariners defeated the Angels Tuesday night 5-3 to run their record to 5-2, first place in the American League West.
