The Seattle Seahawks made West Virginia linebacker Bruce Irvin their number one pick in today's NFL  Draft. Hoping to improve their pass rush, the Seahawks today made West Virginia linebacker Bruce Irvin their first round (15th overall) pick in today's NFL Draft. Irvin is expected to play the "Leo" defensive end position, using his speed to make life uncomfortable for opposing quarterbacks.

The Seahawks traded draft positions with the Philadelphia Eagles, going from 12th to 15th. In return, the Seahawks received extra picks in the 4th and 6th rounds from the Eagles.

“We were extremely excited,” general manager John Schneider said of the not-so-surprising trade that led to the somewhat-surprising selection of Irvin. “Obviously, we viewed him as the best pass rusher in the draft.”

The 2nd and 3rd rounds of the draft take place tomorrow. Check it out on our sister station ESPN 1460 tomorrow.
