Today, a look back at when the Seahawks trained in eastern Washington.

The Seattle Seahawks will open up their 2013 training camp on July 25 at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center (VMAC) in Renton. For many years, the team trained at Eastern Washington University in Cheney near Spokane. The theory was to isolate the players away from distractions at a remote training facility.

In this video shot in 1981by KXLY-TV in Spokane , Todd Pickett interviews the franchise's first starting quarterback Jim Zorn. You also get glimpses of quarterbacks Dave Kreig and Sam Adkins, along with then rookie safety Kenny Easley.(Notice the 80s style shorts worn by the players and the 80s style haircuts)
