Seahawks Emerge as Vegas Favorites to Win Super Bowl

One Las Vegas sports book says the Seattle Seahawks have the best odds to repeat as NFL champions in Super Bowl XLIX.

The Las Vegas sports betting site Bovada figures the Seahawks are 12-5 favorites to win the game on Feb. 2 in Glendale, Ariz. After beating the Rams 20-6 on Sunday 20-6, Seattle finished the regular season at 12-4 and claimed the No. 1 seed in the NFC.

The Seahawks will play Arizona, Carolina or Detroit in Seattle in a divisional playoff game on Jan. 10.

The New England Patriots follow Seattle at 3-1, according to oddsmakers, with the Green Bay Packers and Denver Broncos tied for third at 6-1. There’s a  dropoff after that, with the Dallas Cowboys rounding out Bovada’s top five at 17-2.

The Seahawks are the big favorite to win the NFC, with better-than-even odds at 5-4. The Packers and Cowboys follow at 11-4 and 5-1, with the Carolina Panthers and Detroit Lions at 20-1. The tumbling Arizona Cardinals come in at 33-1.
