Local school district are hoping you'll vote in favor of kids on February 14th when you fill our your ballot...more than 86 thousand ballots were sent to county voters last week...County Elections Manager Kathy Fisher says a majority of people will be voting on maintenance and operations levies...Selah and Naches have construction bonds on the ballot...Fisher says she expects an average turnout...40 to 45 percent...which means a lot of ballots will simply be thrown in the trash.

Ballots are due on the day of the election February 14th...Valentines Day and if you've haven't registered you have until February 6th but you'll have to make a visit to the Yakima County Auditors office inside the courthouse.
