Say Thanks During National Truck Driver Apperciation
Every year they deliver more than 10 billion tons of freight and they do it on holidays and rough weather days. This is National Truck Driver Appreciation Week and Roger Bell with Yakima’s Haney Trucking says one way you can show your appreciation. Especially if you drive a car is to slow down and give them plenty of room. More than 3.4 million professional truck drivers work everyday of the year logging more than 431 million miles and delivering more than 10 billion tons of freight every year. A special truck driver appreciation BBQ will be held from 11 to 2pm Thursday at the Gearjammer Truck Stop in Union Gap. One of many appreciation events being held around the country this week during National Truck Driver Appreciation Week.
