Felix Hernandez pitched another gem, giving up 1 run on three-hits, striking out 10 with no walks in seven innings. The only run he gave up was on a wild pitch, unfortunately the Seattle Mariners only scored one-run as the Mariners lost to the San Diego Padres 2-1.

Pinch-hitter Tommy Medica singled in the go-ahead run in the eighth-inning for the winning run.  Wednesday nights game was the Padres first home game since Hall of Famer Tony Gwynn died of cancer Monday.

Charlie Furbush gave up the hit to Medica and took the loss to drop his record to 0-4.

The Mariners and Padres play this afternoon in San Diego.
