Rock Slide Closes US 2 in Central Washington

ORONDO, Wash. (AP) — The state Department of Transportation says it could take several days to clear a rock slide that closed U.S. Highway 2 in central Washington over the weekend.

The rock slide Sunday buried the highway just east of Orondo, northeast of Wenatchee, over the weekend. A nine-mile stretch of the highway is closed.
