Fire officials are holding a public meeting Wednesday about the Rock Creek Fire burning on the Naches Ranger District. The meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. at the Nile Library at 1891 Nile Road in Naches. Fire managers and agency representatives say they'll talk about fire suppression efforts and future strategies, the fire investigation process, and the recent area closure for the Rock Creek Fire. Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest staff will also attend the meeting and talk about the upcoming prescribed burning program and smoke management pilot project.
