Rock Creek Fire 80 Percent Contained

Good news about the Rock Creek fire burning on the Naches Ranger District. The fire had little growth over the weekend and is now 80 percent contained at 1,383 acres... 330 firefighters remain on the fire lines this morning. Officials say crews continue to hold, mop-up and patrol around the entire perimeter. They hope for full containment soon. All the evacuation notices have been lifted.
And officials say be careful while driving in and around the Naches River Corridor near the Chinook Pass Work Center as firefighters and other vehicles are still working in the area.
