A 35-year-old man who Yakima Police say robbed the Roadrunner Mini-Mart last Thursday was charged with first-degree robbery Tuesday in Yakima County Superior Court. Police say Joel Diaz-Estrada  wore a mask while robbing the store on South Third Avenue at about 2:50 p.m. on Thursday, November 15. He ran from the store to a vehicle and fled from the area. Police found the car at a Yakima home and Diaz-Estrada was arrested at the home. Diaz-Estrada is being held in the Yakima county jail. His bail is set at $100,000.
Diaz-Estrada is the only person arrested in a string of robberies so far this month. 11 robberies have been reported as police search for more suspects.
