Five different intersections will be busier then normal this Friday and Saturday in Yakima. National researchers will be back for the third time talking to drivers measuring the amount of impaired driving happening on roads in Yakima. Jonna Van Dyke with the Washington Traffic Safety Commission says drivers will be chosen at random at the various intersections throughout Yakima. She says the voluntary anonymous survey should take about 20 minutes and you'll make $60 for the effort. Results from the June 2014 survey found that most drivers (88%)believe that marijuana impairs a person’s ability to drive.  However, of the people who said they used marijuana within the last year, 44% said they drove within two hours of using marijuana, or while they were impaired.
The researchers will be conducting the roadside surveys at intersections throughout the city of Yakima Friday and Saturday at all different times of the day and night.
