Roadrunner Deli Robbed For Second Time In May

Yakima Police say for the second time this month the Roadrunner Deli at 1820 S. Third Ave. was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday night. Authorities say two suspects wearing masks entered the store at about 9:35 p.m., and one of the suspects -- who was carrying a large black gun -- fired a shot into the ceiling while demanding cash from the clerk.

Police say the other suspect then jumped over the counter and grabbed cash from the cash register and both ran out of the store. No injuries were reported. Police continue to investigate this robbery and a string of other small store robberies reported since the beginning of April. Police believe many of the robberies are connected.
