With the new business development occurring around 64th Avenue and Nob Hill Boulevard, the city is going to be widening 64th Avenue from Tieton Drive and Nob Hill Boulevard.

The project will begin Monday, March 3 and continue through mid-to-late June. During that time the road will be closed to through traffic with detours at 72nd Avenue to the west and 48th Avenue to the east.

In addition to widening 64th Avenue, the city will also install new curbs, gutters and sidewalks.

Granite Construction has been awarded the project. Access to HAPO Credit Union and Westwood Golf Course will still be available on 64th Avenue.

The city has warned of possible delays around the construction site. For more information regarding the project, contact Construction Supervisor Bruce Floyd at 575-6138.
